Job summary

HNTB in Arlington, VA is seeking a senior leader to direct and supervise a large toll technology group. You will manage multiple projects, coordinate priorities, staffing and staff assignments to deliver capabilities to clients across the country.

You’ll plan, organize and develop technical programs, ensure efficient utilization of staff and high-quality service while guiding performance, growth and succession within the group.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant field with 12 years of practical experience including 4 years of supervisory experience, or
• In lieu of degree, 16 years of relevant experience

Responsibilities

• Supervise a large multi-discipline toll technology group and manage multiple projects.
• Meet targets for technical, administrative, direct labor and schedule.
• Develop and retain staff; establish plans for reporting, performance and compensation.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships to generate new work.
• Set goals, assess performance, and provide ongoing feedback.
• Lead staffing and succession planning for 25–40 staff.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What You'll Do

• Provides technical and operational supervision to a large group of professionals in two or more technical discipline areas.
• Ensures the technical, administrative, direct labor and schedule targets for the group are met.
• Responsible for the management, performance, growth and professional development of the full technical group. Coordinates section activities establishes priorities and staff to jobs.
• Builds strong client relationships with new and existing clients, leveraging those relationships to generate opportunities for new work.
• Establishes goals and objectives, assesses performance and provides on-going feedback. Takes a leadership role in understanding the client needs, balancing needs of HNTB and employees.
• Recruits, hires, develops and retains group's staff, including development of plan for staff reporting, performance and compensation reviews, and succession.
• Leads a group including the direct and indirect supervision of at least 25 but typically 35-40 or more employees.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

What You’ll Need

• Master’s degree in relevant field
• 15 years practical experience
• 6 years supervisory experience
• Extensive history of supporting tolling agencies
• Strong relationships in the toll technology industry
