Job summary

HNTB is seeking a Group Director to lead a multi-discipline design and delivery team in Florida, overseeing Roadway, Drainage, and Structures departments. You will manage scope, budget, and quality, while guiding staffing and resource allocation for projects and pursuits.

The role focuses on technical coaching, staff development, and collaboration with the Office Leadership Team to implement strategic plans and sales approaches. A PE license is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering with 12 years of practical experience including 4 years of supervisory experience.
• Master’s degree is preferred.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Directs and supervises operating budgets for the group and coordinates with the office budget.
• Oversees multiple departments, sets priorities, and assigns staff to projects.
• Leads strategic planning and SSA/ contracting processes for pursuits and markets.
• Drives SDA implementation including Work Planning and project reviews.
• Participates in marketing activities and supports staff development and succession planning.
