Job summary

Arizona Behavioral Counseling & Education in Prescott Valley, AZ is seeking a Part-Time Behavioral Health Technician to support screenings, intake, and counseling across Phoenix, Prescott Valley, Tempe, and Chandler locations.

Typical schedule includes 10 or fewer hours per week, with start times around 4 pm on weekdays and 8 am on weekends; compensation ranges from $18 to $25 per hour, with duties performed under supervision of the QA team, clinical supervisor, and Director.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• CPR and First Aid cards current (within 2 years) and kept up to date.
• License from AZ Board of Behavioral Health or equivalent degree.
• Ability to screen or counsel clients with substance abuse, anger, or domestic violence.
• Completes 20 hours of annual training, including 8 hours on domestic violence.
• Training in DUI laws and treatment standards; DV services require 6 months offender experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct screenings, individual and group counseling sessions, and education classes.
• Complete intake sessions and write individual treatment plans.
• Document all client contact and monitor client progress.
• Write progress reports and discharge summaries.
• Work under direction of the QA team, clinical supervisor, and Director.
