Job summary

DHL Supply Chain is hiring for a second shift group coordinator lead. The role oversees warehouse staff, assigns tasks, trains associates, and ensures accurate receiving and inventory control.

The position requires forklift and pallet jack experience, and a background in a logistics environment. The candidate should have 3+ years in a supervisory/lead role with warehousing experience and 6+ months operating material handling equipment, along with WMS familiarity.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in a leadership role within supply chain or warehouse operations.
• Experience operating stand-up material handling equipment (min 6 months).
• Experience with Cherry Picker, Sit-down, Clamp, Electric Pallet Jack is a plus.
• 1 year in Inventory Control including cycle counts and discrepancies.
• At least 6 months experience with a WMS (JDA, Red Prairie, Blue Yonder, SAP, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Manually load and unload freight in an efficient and safe manner.
• Move products to storage using appropriate equipment and store correctly.
• Assemble merchandise for shipment, sort, pack, label, and check for damage.
• Participate in physical inventories and ensure accuracy.
• Perform general grounds and building maintenance.

Shift: Second (2nd) Group Coordinator Lead?

Schedule: Wednesday - Saturday 3:00pm-1:30am

Pay: $24.25 per hour

In addition to the general job description below, the ideal candidate will also possess the following skills and/or experience

• Lead, Supervisor, Production, Warehouse experience?

• Lead and manage the workflow and work duty allocation for team members within an assigned department of the facility to include: Put-Away, Inventory, Receiving, Shipping / Pack-out, Staging, Order Selecting areas.

• This is a working-lead role. You will work alongside your team while being the initial point of contact for associates.

• A minimum of 3+ years in a progressive role within a supply chain, logistics, warehouse or distribution environment as a Team Lead, Workflow Planner or other role that requires making decisions and leading other associates in their daily tasks.

• The role reports directly to the Supervisor and will be responsible for training associates, monitoring production, giving constructive feedback to the associates, providing training to new associates, and assisting the Supervisor to ensure highest customer standards.

• A minimum of 6 month's experience operating stand-up material handling equipment is required.

• Experience operating other material handling equipment such as Order (Cherry) Picker, Sit-down, Clamp, Electric Pallet Jack is also a plus.

• A minimum of 1 year experience in Inventory Control to include: Cycle Count, reporting inventory discrepancies, receiving inventory, monitoring inventory levels.

• At least 6 month's experience with a WMS (Warehouse Management System) or similar systems such as JDA, Red Prairie, Blue Yonder, SAP, etc.

Role Purpose

Responsible for supporting and leading specified group of individuals in the warehouse/clerical setting.

Provides daily direction and guidance to the work group.

Trains new associates in identified work group.

Key Accountabilities

• Manually load and unload freight in an efficient and safe manner.
• Provide physical labor to move product to storage areas with proper material handling equipment and efficiently stack and store the merchandise in the appropriate area.
• Assemble various types of merchandise to be shipped. Sort, recoup, pack, mark, and label materials. Check or count freight for accuracy and/or damage and infestation.
• Perform duties needed for assembling displays and other specialty value-added services per the customers’ requirements.
• Participate in physical inventories.
• Performs general grounds/building maintenance.

Required Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or Equivalent, preferred
• 0 to 12 months experience in a warehouse setting, preferred
