Position: First (1) Group Coordinator Lead - Kitting Technician
Shift: 7:00 am - 5:30 pm, Monday-Friday
Pay: $24.50 an hour
The core responsibilities of this role include:
- Lead and manage the workflow and work duty allocation for team members to ensure accurate checking, inspecting, and/or counting of all products for both inbound and outbound departments, ensuring all products are free of damage or defect.
- This is a working lead role. You will work alongside your team while being the initial point of contact for associates.
- The role reports directly to the Supervisor and will be responsible for training associates, monitoring production, providing constructive feedback, training new associates, and assisting the Supervisor to ensure the highest customer standards.
- Auditing and overseeing the department and team to ensure the highest level of product compliance and accuracy.
- Ensure the quantity, quality, labeling, and shipping address of orders meet customer specifications or other requirements.
- Experience using a commercial WMS (warehouse management system) such as Blue Yonder, Red Prairie, JDA, SAP, etc.
In addition to the general job description below, the ideal candidate will also possess the following skills and/or experience:
- A minimum of 6 months operating a Very Narrow Aisle (VNA) forklift or Reach Truck.

Role Profile
Role Purpose: Responsible for supporting and leading a specified group of individuals in the warehouse/clerical setting. Provides daily direction and guidance to the work group. Trains new associates in the identified work group. The kitting technician will be required to assemble, inspect, clean, package, and kit machined parts and bought-in items necessary for various customized types of kits.
Key Accountabilities:
- Responsible for assembling components and producing quality work, free from errors, in a clean room environment.
- Responsible for area and tool maintenance & cleanliness.
- Responsible for various complex assembly work of modified parts to produce customized kits.
- Responsible for inventory management and control.
- Knowledge and ability to use tools to assemble parts.
- Must be able to work independently and as part of a team to ensure production goals are met.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Required Education and Experience:
- Associate Degree or equivalent in a related field of study.
- Forklift operator certificate or satisfactory completion of a forklift-training program within the first 30 days of employment.
- Must have 6 months experience in a complex kitting, assembly environment.
