Job summary

HealthFitness is looking for an as-needed/fill-in Group Class Instructor to join our fitness team at the client site in Santa Clara, CA. You will lead engaging, safe group exercise sessions such as dance, kickboxing, step, boot camp and circuit, ensuring participants have a fun and effective workout.

Candidates must hold a nationally accredited group exercise certification (ACE, AFAA/NASM, ACSM, NETA, NCCPT or similar) and maintain CPR/AED and First Aid certifications within 30 days of hire; 2+

Qualifications

• Certification from ACE, AFAA/NASM, ACSM, NETA, NCCPT or other NCCA national cert required.
• Adult CPR/AED and First Aid certifications from recognized bodies required within 30 days of hire.
• 2+ years of group exercise instruction experience preferred.
• Ability to navigate electronic onboarding and timecard systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide fun, effective, and safe group exercise to members in classes such as dance, kickboxing, step, boot camp, and circuit.
• Instruct at the client site in Santa Clara, CA with focus on participant engagement and safety.
• Assist with basic equipment setup and teardown and monitor class safety and participant progress.

We provide personal and professional support, training and development and flexible employment opportunities.**About the role**HealthFitness is looking for as-needed/fill-in (number of hours working depends on demand and scheduling) Group Class Instructors to join the fitness team at our client site located in Santa Clara, CA.Responsible for providing fun, effective, and safe group exercise to members such as dance, kickboxing, step, boot camp, and circuit.Minimum Requirements* Current group exercise instructor certification from ACE, AFAA/NASM, ACSM, NETA, NCCPT, or other NCCA nationally accredited specialty class certification required.* Adult CPR/AED and First Aid certifications from American Heart Association, American Red Cross or American Safety & Health Institute required within 30 days of hire.* 2+ years group exercise instruction experience strongly preferred.* Ability to navigate electronic onboarding and timecard systems required.Applicants must meet hiring requirements including but not limited to pre-employment drug test. The compensation range for this role is $50/class - $60/class. The final wage offer will be determined based on factors such as location, qualifications, experience, skill set, and other relevant factors.
