Job summary

Pratap Partnership Ltd is seeking a Group Assistant Accountant to join its central finance team in a newly created role. The position offers study support (CIMA/ACCA) and a hybrid working pattern with two days in the office, plus a competitive benefits package.

The successful candidate will work on group reporting, subsidiaries and joint ventures, statutory accounts, budgeting and audit, gaining hands-on experience in a large and varied finance environment.

Qualifications

• Part-qualified accountant pursuing CIMA or ACCA.
• Excellent attention to detail and high standards of presentation.
• Ability to communicate financial information clearly to finance and non-finance colleagues.
• Proactive and collaborative approach across functions.
• Able to maintain high standards in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts including P&L, balance sheet and cashflow.
• Prepare statutory accounts and supporting disclosures.
• Assist with budgets and forecasts for subsidiaries and JV entities.
• Maintain balance sheet control accounts and reconciliations.
• Manage intercompany transactions and reconciliations.
• Support external audit processes and audit schedules.
• Provide information for the Group annual report.
• Assist with year-end accounting estimates and going concern reviews.
• Produce high-quality management accounts packs for internal/external stakeholders.
• Identify risks, opportunities and improvements in management reporting.
• Support the Group Financial Accountant on ad hoc projects.
