Job summary

Sheridan Grove Recovery in the United States is seeking a Group Addiction Counselor to join our residential treatment team. The role requires an active state license or CAS and a Master's degree or higher in psychology, counseling, social work, or a related field.

The salary range is $60,000 to $73,000 annually, with comprehensive benefits. You will lead structured group sessions, apply clinical interventions, support discharge planning, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to promote

Responsibilities

• Facilitate structured, therapeutic group sessions for assigned patients
• Apply appropriate clinical interventions and modify group content to meet patient needs
• Provide education, support, and therapeutic interaction in a group setting
• Assist with discharge planning including FMLA, Short-Term Disability, and sober housing
• Attend and participate in treatment team meetings
• Collaborate with clinical staff, case management, and nursing to support patient progress
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and progress notes
• Contribute to a positive, respectful, team-oriented culture
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Report directly to the Clinical Director

Qualifications

• Active state license required

• Experience in chemical dependency treatment preferred
• Competency in Microsoft Office and electronic health records
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong interest or personal passion in substance abuse treatment strongly preferred
• Commitment to a drug-free lifestyle and responsible alcohol use is essential
• Authorization to work in the US is required
