Xylem Tree Experts and Kendall Vegetation Services is seeking a Groundsperson/Driver to support crews from the ground and operate a chip truck between jobsites in Savannah, GA. The role requires driving a truck with a chipper and performing debris cleanup after each job.
Candidates should have a valid driver's license, be able to pass background checks, and be prepared for storm work and travel as needed. Health insurance and 401K are provided for full-time hires.
The Groundsperson/Driver supports the crew by performing work from the ground including clearing brush and trees as directed, and performing clean‑up on each job site. MUST have an active valid Driver's License.
The Groundsperson/Driver will be driving a F-750 Chip Truck with Chipper attached between multiple jobsites. Groundsperson is responsible for pulling down, stacking, grinding limbs and debris, clean‑up of small debris, and chipping all debris. The driver portion is responsible for the safety and oversight of the truck and chipper at all times. Coordinating time and management between jobsites to ensure all brush/debris is maintained and cleaned up by each day's end.
Groundspersons have no direct reports.
Prior experience in electric utility vegetation management, construction, logging, landscaping, mechanical, or military industries preferred.
High School diploma or education equivalent preferred.
