ABOUT THE ROLE
This position is responsible for all ground operations, such as clean up, greasing equipment, and basic routine maintenance in and around the plant.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

  1. Perform minor servicing and maintenance on plant equipment as needed.
  2. Inspect conveyors and processing plant; replace screens and guards.
  3. Perform daily pre-and-post inspections with appropriate documentation in compliance with company policies.
  4. Safely and efficiently operate heavy equipment such as bob cat, skid steer, man lift, water truck, and haul truck.
  5. Assist in training less-experienced employees on the proper operations, servicing, and repair of equipment to further their abilities.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  1. Highly dependable, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  2. Ability to learn plant flow and operations, including conveyors and crushing equipment.
  3. Experienced with operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting materials plant.
  4. Willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers or supervisors with other duties as required.
  5. Ability to perform rigorous physical activities in all weather conditions.
  6. Previous experience in a construction or quarry environment preferred.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  1. Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving, and adhering to health, safety, and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.
  2. Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Holcim approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Subject to applicable law, employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
  3. This job requires shift work, callouts, scheduled and unscheduled overtime, weekend, and holiday work. Employee may have work schedule adjusted on short notice.
