Job summary

Arbor Bay Tree Service in Tampa, FL is hiring a Groundsman for an immediate full-time opportunity. Starting pay is $23.50 per hour or more based on experience. The Groundsman will support climbers, handle ropes, operate chippers, and maintain safe, clean worksites.

The role requires outdoor work in all weather, physical ability to lift up to 75 lbs, and teamwork. CDL is required. Training is provided and full benefits, paid time off, and 401(k) are offered.

Qualifications

• Experience in tree service or landscaping is a plus, but not required—training provided.
• Ability to work outdoors year-round.
• Physically fit and able to lift up to 75 lbs and perform labor-intensive tasks.
• Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) required.

Responsibilities

• Assist tree climbers and crew leaders with tree removal, trimming, and pruning services.
• Operate and maintain chainsaws, chippers, ropes, and other tree service equipment.
• Drag, chip, and stack brush, logs, and debris from properties.
• Perform ground-level rigging and rope management during tree cutting operations.
• Ensure each property and job site is clean, safe, and well-maintained after completion.
