We are currently seeking a dedicated and hardworking individual to join our team as a Quarry Groundsman. This role is essential to maintaining the functionality and cleanliness of our quarry operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for a variety of tasks that aid in the maintenance and operation of the quarry. Duties include, but are not limited to, overseeing daily ground operations, inspecting machinery, shoveling, sweeping, steam cleaning, painting, tire work, mechanical assistance, and lifting, pushing, and pulling various objects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Shoveling: Manually move materials and clear areas to ensure safe and efficient quarry operations.
  • Sweeping and Cleaning: Maintain a clean work environment through sweeping debris and steam cleaning equipment and areas as required.
  • Painting: Apply paints and coatings to equipment, signs, and infrastructure to maintain aesthetic appearance and safety standards.
  • Tire Work: Assist in the maintenance and repair of quarry vehicle tires, ensuring they are safe and operational.
  • Mechanical Assistance: Provide support to the mechanical team during maintenance and repair activities to ensure minimal downtime of machinery.
  • Lifting, Pushing, and Pulling: Safely handle materials, tools, and equipment, including the lifting, pushing, and pulling of various objects as necessary for daily operations.
Qualifications:
  • Ability to perform physical tasks and lift up to [specific weight] pounds.
  • Strong work ethic and team player attitude.
  • Previous experience in a similar role or industry preferred but not required.
  • Willingness to work in varying weather conditions and perform a wide range of physical activities.
  • Basic mechanical skills are a plus.
  • Must adhere to all safety guidelines and wear provided personal protective equipment at all times.
  • Willingness to undergo SRM’s pre-employment screenings.
