Job summary

Rotolo Consultants Inc. is seeking a Groundskeeping Laborer to support landscape maintenance across commercial and industrial properties in Lafayette, LA. You will operate mowers, trimmers, blowers and other equipment to keep plant material healthy and attractive.

Responsibilities include planting, mulching, pruning, litter control, and following design plans to lay sod and install flowers. A High School diploma and valid driver's license are encouraged, with benefits including medical coverage

Qualifications

• Previous experience in landscape or similar industry.
• Knowledge and ability to use landscape-related tools (i.e. mowers, trimmers, blowers. etc.)
• Horticulture knowledge and standards of pruning, planting, digging, and mulching.
• A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are a plus.

• Operate landscape vehicles and equipment, such as mowers, tractors, twin-axle vehicles, snowblowers, chain saws, electric clippers, sod cutters, and pruning saws.
• Caring for established lawns by mulching, aerating, weeding, grubbing, removing thatch, or trimming or edging around flower beds, walks, or walls.
• Using hand tools, such as shovels, rakes, pruning saws, saws, hedge or brush trimmers, or axes.
• Pruning or trimming trees, shrubs, or hedges, using shears, pruners, or chain saws.
• Gathering and removing litter.
• Raking, mulching, and composting leaves.
• Following planned landscaping designs to determine where to lay sod, sow grass, or plant flowers or foliage.
• Planting seeds, bulbs, foliage, flowering plants, grass, ground covers, trees, or shrubs and apply mulch for protection, using gardening tools.

AS A GROUNDSKEEPING LABORER

You will create beautiful environments by providing landscape maintenance support to a variety of industrial, commercial, and/or public properties. You will safely operate commercial-grade landscaping equipment and ensure the upkeep of plant material and other landscaping elements.

GROUNDSKEEPING LABORER DUTIES INCLUDE
