Rotolo Consultants, Inc. (RCI) is seeking a Groundskeeping Laborer to maintain a variety of properties, operate commercial landscaping equipment, and ensure pristine landscapes.

This role supports lawn care, planting, mulching, and clean-up across industrial, commercial, and public sites with focus on safety and quality. Ideal candidates have landscape experience and knowledge of pruning, planting, and mulching, plus familiarity with mowers, trimmers, and blowers.

Qualifications

• Landscape experience in maintenance or similar industry.
• Ability to safely operate landscape tools such as mowers, trimmers and blowers.
• Horticulture knowledge including pruning, planting, digging, mulching.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate commercial-grade landscaping equipment.
• Maintain plant material and landscape elements.
• Follow designed landscaping plans for sod, seeds and plantings.
• Perform lawn care tasks like mulching, fertilizing and edging.
• Gather litter and ensure clean sites.

AS A GROUNDSKEEPING LABORER

You will create beautiful environments by providing landscape maintenance support to a variety of industrial, commercial, and/or public properties. You will safely operate commercial-grade landscaping equipment and ensure the upkeep of plant material and other landscaping elements.

GROUNDSKEEPING LABORER DUTIES INCLUDE

• Operating vehicles and powered equipment, such as mowers, tractors, twin-axle vehicles, snowblowers, chain saws, electric clippers, sod cutters, and pruning saws.
• Caring for established lawns by mulching, aerating, weeding, grubbing, removing thatch, or trimming or edging around flower beds, walks, or walls.
• Using hand tools, such as shovels, rakes, pruning saws, saws, hedge or brush trimmers, or axes.
• Pruning or trimming trees, shrubs, or hedges, using shears, pruners, or chain saws.
• Gathering and removing litter.
• Raking, mulching, and composting leaves.
• Following planned landscaping designs to determine where to lay sod, sow grass, or plant flowers or foliage.
• Planting seeds, bulbs, foliage, flowering plants, grass, ground covers, trees, or shrubs and apply mulch for protection, using gardening tools.

QUALIFICATIONS WE LOOK FOR

• Previous experience in landscape or similar industry.
• Knowledge and ability to use landscape-related tools (i.e. mowers, trimmers, blowers. etc.)
• Horticulture knowledge and standards of pruning, planting, digging, and mulching.
• A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are a plus.
