Job Description

The Groundskeeper is responsible for the overall upkeep of the landscape and the interior/exterior image of the community. The Groundskeeper is a customer service-driven team player.

Reports to: Maintenance Supervisor
Direct Reports: None

Roles and Responsibilities

The duties listed below outline the Groundskeeper’s responsibilities and are not all-inclusive. Duties may be modified as community needs change.

General
  • Maintain a clean, professional, and OSHA-approved work environment
  • Keep the property litter free
  • Assist with unit trash outs
  • Deliver notices
  • Report time and attendance
  • Make daily inspections of the community
  • Understand and adhere to Landmark Properties policies and procedures
Customer Service
  • Understand residents' needs and expectations, and strive to exceed them
  • Develop a sense of community among residents and staff
  • Maintain a positive environment and encourage participation in events and activities
  • Assist with property turnovers
Risk Control
  • Understand, communicate, and enforce safety, emergency, and fire evacuation policies
  • Report behaviors violating laws or lease agreements to the Community Manager
  • Inspect property conditions and report issues to the Maintenance Supervisor and Community Manager
Requirements
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Moderate noise level; accommodations available for individuals with disabilities
