Job summary

Kamehameha Schools is seeking a Groundskeeper (Temporary) at Kapalama Campus in Honolulu, Hawaii. This part-time role supports general groundskeeping, event setup, and collaboration with Groundskeeper II/III and Utility Workers to maintain campus safety and appearance.

Groundskeeper (Temporary)

Job type: Temporary, Part‑time – potential up to 40 hours/week.

Location: Kapalama Campus (Honolulu, Hawaii).

Targeted starting hourly rate: $24/hour. Tools, equipment, and PPE are provided by KSK.

Preferred Qualifications

• Basic computer knowledge.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Physical capability to lift, carry, push or pull up to 50 lbs, walk, stand, bend, crouch, reach, and sit as needed. Manual dexterity and strength for hand tool use.
• Experience in the following: basic grounds maintenance with hand tools and gas‑powered lawn equipment; landscape installation, grading and planting; irrigation installation and repair; tree trimming; 4‑stroke small engine repair (plus); 2‑stroke small engine repair experience (plus).
• CDL B license (preferred).

Work Conditions

• May involve exposure to extreme temperatures, dust, dirt, smoke; contact with hazardous materials; unpleasant odors; loud noises.
• Work outdoors and indoors, Monday through Friday during normal business hours; evening or weekend hours may be required.
