University of Michigan's Custodial and Grounds Services (CGS) is currently seeking temporary Groundskeepers to serve the U-M community. They are stewards of the campus outdoor spaces, caring for about 1200 acres of maintained green areas across the Ann Arbor campus.
The Groundskeeper will perform mowing, trimming, weeding, mulching, raking, and related duties. Typical schedules are Mon–Fri 6:00 am–2:30 pm with a 30‑minute unpaid lunch. Starting pay for this temporary role is $17.00 per hour.
We are performing updates and maintenance to improve the applicant experience. As a result, the site will be unavailable from Saturday, August 29, at 9:00 p.m. ET through Sunday, August 30, at 8:00 a.m. ET. During this outage period, applications for job postings cannot be submitted.

As stewards for the outdoor properties of the U-M's Ann Arbor Campus, Grounds Services provides horticultural and groundskeeping maintenance. Our specialized crews are dedicated professionals who pride themselves in caring for the university's 1200 acres of maintained green space as well as other natural areas.
The Groundskeeper will maintain grounds by mowing, string trimming, weeding, cultivating, raking, and pruning shrubs, grass, or planting ground cover; maintaining planting beds loading and unloading trucks; and transporting refuse or other materials as needed.
