Job summary

The Groundskeeper Supervisor at Boulders Resort & Spa Scottsdale, Curio Collection by Hilton leads the outdoor care team to keep guest-facing landscapes pristine and safe. You will supervise, train, and schedule staff, while coordinating with Engineering, Housekeeping, and Security to meet guest needs.

This role requires hands-on knowledge of pool water chemistry, desert landscaping, irrigation, and seasonal landscape work, with flexibility to work weekends or holidays as needed.

Qualifications

• Previous landscaping or grounds maintenance experience, including leading a team.
• Experience testing pool water and maintaining chemical balance; safe handling/storage.
• Knowledge of irrigation, plant care, pruning, and landscape equipment.
• Desert landscaping familiarity and water-efficient maintenance preferred.
• Current pool operator certification preferred, or ability to obtain certification.
• Strong organization, communication, and guest service skills.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather and physical duties.
• Flexible schedule including weekends/holidays; valid driver's license if required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, train, schedule, and support groundskeeping staff; assign work and inspect completed tasks.
• Maintain landscaped areas around guest rooms, the lobby, spa, restaurants, meeting spaces, pools, and other assigned hotel facilities.
• Oversee pruning, planting, irrigation, weed control, debris removal, and seasonal landscape work.
• Test and document pool water chemistry, adjust chemical levels within established procedures, and promptly report equipment or water quality concerns.
• Ensure pool chemicals are handled, stored, and applied safely in accordance with applicable requirements and resort procedures.
• Inspect grounds and assigned pool areas daily for appearance and safety concerns, including trip hazards, irrigation leaks, and areas needing repair.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Housekeeping, Security, and resort leadership to address guest requests and operational needs.
• Maintain equipment and supplies, track work completed, and assist with purchasing and budget control.
• Plan work to minimize disruption to guests, events, and resort operations.
• Respond to urgent grounds or pool-area issues as needed.
