Job description

  • Mowing, weeding, cultivating, raking, and pruning shrubs
  • Plant Grass and/or ground cover
  • Clean and maintain parking lots/ramps
  • Install street posts and signs
  • Maintain plant beds using fertilizers and observing and reporting diseases
  • Shovel snow or other materials
  • Load and unload trucks
  • Empty and/or maintain recycling bins
  • Transport refuse or other materials.
Required Qualifications*
  • Only University of Michigan students will be considered for this opportunity.
  • This position may require traveling on and off campus using University vehicles. Must have a valid Michigan Driver's license with a good driving record.
  • This position requires physical activity. Applicants must be able to lift 50 pounds and be able to remain active throughout any given shift.
  • Must have a good work ethic, be punctual, and reliable.
Modes of Work

Onsite
The work requires, or the supervisor approves a fully onsite presence. Onsite is defined as a designated U-M owned or leased work location within or outside of the State of Michigan
