Job summary

Bryten is seeking a dependable Groundskeeper/Porter (Part-Time) for Greyeagle Apts to maintain the community’s appearance and curb appeal. You will perform groundskeeping, basic maintenance, pool area tasks, and light make-ready duties while adhering to safety standards.

Ideal candidates have prior groundskeeping or related experience, can operate landscaping tools, and deliver excellent customer service. A valid driver’s license and ability to work flexible hours are appreciated.

Qualifications

• Prior groundskeeping/landscaping or related experience preferred.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to operate landscaping equipment and power tools safely.
• Strong attention to detail and customer service.
• Able to work independently and in a team; good communication.
• Outdoor work in varying weather; physically demanding.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and appearance of grounds, amenities, common areas, parking lots, breezeways, and building exteriors.
• Perform mowing, edging, trimming, planting, watering, and debris removal.
• Operate landscaping equipment, power tools, and vehicles safely.
• Assist with pool area maintenance, trash removal, furniture arrangement, and seasonal prep.
• Pressure wash and clean walkways, buildings, and community areas as needed.
• Inspect exterior lighting and replace bulbs as needed.
• Assist with apartment make-ready tasks and inspections.
• Support maintenance team with tasks and projects and report issues.
• Follow OSHA standards and safety policies; promote a safe environment.

Key responsibilities include:• Maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of the community, including grounds, amenities, common areas, parking lots, breezeways, and building exteriors• Performing routine groundskeeping and landscaping duties such as mowing, edging, trimming, planting, watering, and debris removal• Operating landscaping equipment, power tools, and vehicles safely and effectively• Assisting with pool area maintenance, including cleaning, trash removal, furniture arrangement, and seasonal preparation activities• Performing pressure washing and cleaning of walkways, buildings, and other community areas as needed• Inspecting exterior lighting throughout the community and replacing bulbs as needed• Assisting with apartment make-ready activities, including trash removal, basic repairs, inspections, and preparation of vacant units• Supporting maintenance team members with general maintenance tasks and community projects as assigned• Identifying and reporting safety concerns, maintenance issues, and property damage to the Maintenance Supervisor and Community Manager• Following OSHA standards, company safety policies, and all operational procedures• Promoting a positive, safe, and welcoming community environment• Performing other duties as assignedWho You AreWe're looking for someone who takes pride in maintaining beautiful communities, enjoys working outdoors, and values teamwork and customer service.
