Groundskeeper/Porter

Spring Oaks – Balch Springs, TX

Burlington Capital Properties is looking for a friendly, customer service-oriented individual to maintain the overall community appearance at Spring Oaks Apartment Community in Balch Springs, Texas. The role of Groundskeeper/Porter is to protect and improve the overall appearance of the property. The hours for this position are 8:00AM – 5:00PM, Monday through Friday.

JOB DUTIES

1. Walk the property daily to maintain 'curb appeal'
2. Daily trash pickup, pressure washing, and keeping common areas free of debris and walkways clear
3. Perform day to day clean up (vacuuming and/or mowing) as assigned
4. Assist the maintenance team with light repairs and routine maintenance tasks
5. Follow all safety and liability guidelines (as outlined in the safety and liability manual)
6. Participate in safety training required by management
7. Maintain Resident Relations – Provide excellent customer service to all residents

JOB REQUIREMENTS

1. High School Diploma or equivalent
2. Must be at least 18 years old
3. Ability to follow directives and work with minimum supervision
4. Ability to effectively communicate issues, problems, ideas, concerns and information on work progress
5. Must have a basic understanding of the English language and be able to communicate with coworkers
6. Ability to interact positively with residents, employees, vendors and the general public
