Opal Foods Cooperative Inc. in Hudson, CO is seeking a Groundskeeper for our Pullet Farm. The role covers grounds upkeep, truck disinfection stations, outdoor bait stations, and deliveries, with adherence to all company policies and governmental regulations.

You will support the Farm Manager and may take on additional projects. The position requires walking long distances, lifting up to 50 lbs, and working weekends and holidays in all weather.

Qualifications

• Must follow strict bio-security procedures including shower in/out.
• Must be able to walk for long periods.
• Must be able to bend, stoop, reach, kneel, and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must be comfortable working independently for 12-hour shifts in all weather conditions.
• Must be available to work weekends and holidays as scheduled.

Responsibilities

• Upkeep of grounds including mowing, spraying weeds, weed-eating, and trash.
• Maintaining truck disinfection stations and hand pumps.
• Maintaining roads.
• Staying on top of bird control.
• Keeping feed pads clear of feed.
• Preventive maintenance on all outside equip-feed bins, incline belts, cool cells, etc.
• Keeping track of visitors and supply deliveries.
• Monitor and maintain exterior of farm.
• Other duties as assigned by Lead person or Manager.

Opal Foods is currently accepting applications for the position of Grounds keeping and Maintenancefor our Pullet Farm in Hudson, CO. This position is responsible for upkeep of grounds, truck disinfection, outdoor bait stations, and deliveries while maintaining compliance with all company policies and governmental regulations. This position will also assist the Pullet Farm Manager with other projects and duties as needed.
