Job Description

The Groundskeeper is responsible for maintaining and improving site grounds. Tasks include mowing, trimming, leaf removal, and duties related to inclement weather, such as snow removal, which may vary by season.

Job Responsibilities

• Maintain and improve facility grounds following sustainability guidelines
• Implement planned landscaping designs
• Perform planting, mowing, weeding, fertilizing, sweeping, raking, salting, shoveling snow, and ice removal
• Operate equipment such as power mowers, saws, weed eaters, hedge trimmers, and sprayers
• Operate trucks, tractors, and attachments for grounds maintenance as needed
• Clean and maintain sidewalks, driveways, and parking lots
• Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on lawn equipment and tools
• Follow safety policies and report malfunctions or defects immediately

Qualifications

• Previous groundskeeping or horticulture experience preferred
• Valid non-commercial driver’s license required

This role may involve physical demands such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, extended walking, and standing. Uniforms and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) may be required.
