Job summary

Pruitthealth Corporation is seeking a Groundskeeper at the MD location to cut grass, edge, trim, and maintain outdoor areas around the Charlotte Hall Veterans Home. You’ll assist with cleaning adjacent spaces and minor painting and maintenance tasks as needed.

The role requires basic schooling and at least two years in general maintenance, with the ability to operate lawn equipment and handle emergencies or special events. This on-site position offers hourly pay and stable hours.

Qualifications

• High school or vocational graduate is required.
• At least 2 years of experience in general maintenance.
• Experience with lawn care and equipment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Cut grass on ~50 acres using lawn mower, tractors, and trimmers.
• Clean exterior areas around buildings and grounds.
• Assist with painting exterior items and equipment.
• Perform minor maintenance repairs on site.
• Operate tractors for grass cutting and snow removal.
• Respond to emergencies and special events.
• Know locations and operation of critical equipment and systems.
• Collaborate effectively with residents, visitors, and co-workers.

Description

Job Purpose:

To cut grass, trim, edge and clean grass areas, patios, sidewalks and roadways. To help maintenance staff with painting, transporting and minor maintenance repairs.

Salary Range: $16.00-$24.00 per hour

Essential Functions:

• Cut grass on approximately 50 acres of Charlotte Hall Veterans Home using lawn mower, tractors and string trimmers
• To clean all areas around the outside of the buildings
• To help paint the exterior items and equipment around the Facility and grounds area
• To perform minor maintenance repairs
• Operate tractors for grass cutting and snow removal
• Perform duties required to meet emergencies and special occasions such as fire, storms, power outages, water breaks
• Responsible for knowing locations and general operation of critical equipment and systems
• Must be able to work effectively and harmoniously with residents, visitors and· co-workers·
• Perform other related assignments as required.

Qualifications

• Must be high school or vocational graduate
• Must have 2 years experience in general maintenance field.
