Job summary

New Albany Country Club is seeking a dependable, hardworking Grounds Crew Member for year-round, full-time work. You will help maintain the golf course and Club grounds, operate lawn care equipment, and contribute to a pristine property for our members and guests.

Qualifications

• Enjoys working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Physically able to perform labor and stand/walk/ lift as required.
• Able to operate hand and power tools used in groundskeeping.
• Follow written and verbal instructions and work well in a team.
• Knowledge of landscaping or turf maintenance helpful but not required.
• Willing to learn and take pride in high-quality course conditioning.

Responsibilities

• Maintain assigned areas of the golf course and Club grounds year-round.
• Operate mowers, trimmers, and other equipment for greens and surrounds.
• Rake and maintain flower beds and landscaped areas.
• Prepare the grounds daily to be clean, neat, and presentable.
• Inspect equipment and report maintenance concerns to a supervisor.
• Assist with seasonal grounds projects and other duties as needed.

As a premier, full-service private country club, New Albany Country Club takes pride in providing an exceptional experience for our members and guests. Our Grounds Crew plays an important role in maintaining the beauty, playability, and overall appearance of our golf course and Club property throughout the year.

This is a year-round, full-time position offering benefits and employee perks!

Job Responsibilities

As a member of our Grounds Crew, you will help maintain the golf course, landscaped areas, and overall appearance of the Club property. Responsibilities include:

• Maintain assigned areas of the golf course and Club grounds throughout the year.
• Operate mowers, trimmers, and other equipment to maintain greens, tees, aprons, and surrounding areas.
• Rake and maintain flower beds and landscaped areas.
• Prepare the grounds daily to ensure the property is clean, neat, and presentable.
• Pick up visible trash throughout the property, including the Club entrance and surrounding grounds.
• Ensure golf course accessories and grounds fixtures are clean, neat, and properly positioned.
• Inspect equipment, maintain appropriate fluid levels, and report maintenance concerns to a supervisor or equipment technician.
• Clean equipment after use and return it to the designated storage area.
• Assist with seasonal grounds maintenance and other outdoor projects as needed throughout the year.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Skills & Qualifications

• Enjoys working outdoors in varying weather conditions throughout the year.
• Dependable, hardworking, and willing to perform physical labor.
• Ability to safely operate hand tools, power tools, and grounds maintenance equipment.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
• Knowledge of landscaping, turf maintenance, or groundskeeping is helpful but not required.
• Willingness to learn and take pride in maintaining a high-quality golf course and Club property.

Education & Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to perform the physical requirements of the position, including standing, walking, bending, lifting, and working outdoors.
