Summary of Position:

This position is responsible for providing advanced services to maintain the campus exterior, grounds, and landscapes.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent or obtain within six months of start date.
  • Two years of horticulture experience required; commercial/institutional experience preferred.
  • Valid PA Certified Public Pesticide Applicator License Cat 23 + Core, or be able to obtain within 6 months of hire.
  • Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and provide an MVR annually.
  • Experience operating landscape/lawn care equipment, construction equipment, various trucks/trailers, and tractors with manual and automatic transmissions.
  • Minimum two years of prior snow plowing experience with trucks and grounds equipment.
  • Proficiency in operating a skid loader.
  • Horticulture knowledge and equipment maintenance operations test will be administered; a minimum score of 75% is required.
