Penn State is seeking a full-time Groundskeeper Landscape A for the Berks campus. The role supports landscape maintenance across lawns, athletic areas, trees, shrubs, and flowers, using a range of equipment and safety practices. The position requires a pesticide applicator license (Categories 6 and 7) and a valid driver’s license, with 3–6 months of experience.
Typical hours are 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and the university emphasizes safety, reliability and teamwork in maintaining campus grounds

Duties include:
Requires the use of commercial English, grammar and arithmetic such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division, including decimals and fractions; simple use of formulas, charts, tables, drawings, specifications, schedules, wiring diagrams, together with the use of adjustable measuring instruments, graduates and the like requiring interpretation in their various applications; or the posting, preparation, interpretation, use and checking of reports, forms, records and comparable data. A Pennsylvania Pesticide Applicator's License Category 6 and 7 required. 3 to 6 months of effective experience. Work Schedule: 7:00 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Days Off: Saturday, Sunday

Employment with the University will require successful completion of background check(s) in accordance with University policies. This position requires that you operate a motor vehicle as a part of your job duties. A valid driver’s license and successful completion of a motor vehicle records check will be required in addition to standard background checks.
