The Groundskeeper IV (Senior Groundskeeper) performs highly complex groundskeeping work at a State Hospital. Responsibilities include maintaining grounds and flower beds, operating equipment, leading other groundskeeping staff, and ensuring safety and aesthetics of the hospital grounds. The role requires working under limited supervision and may include participating in disaster response or recovery efforts, with potential for work on maximum security locations.
Must possess a valid Texas driver license or obtain one within 90 days of hire. Out-of-state licenses must be accompanied by a certified driving record.
Minimum of 9 months experience operating power equipment and performing groundskeeping or related work. Graduation from high school or equivalent preferred.
Applicants must pass background checks, drug screening, registry checks, and meet immunization requirements. Age restrictions apply for certain facilities. Flexibility in work hours and overtime may be required.
