Job summary

The University of New England is seeking a Groundskeeper to join our Facilities Management team. This role may be filled at Groundskeeper I, II, or III level based on experience and qualifications, including equipment skills and specialized knowledge.

The position supports year-round maintenance, appearance, and safety of campus grounds and athletic fields, with duties ranging from mowing and pruning to snow operations and project work as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in grounds maintenance, landscaping, or related work.
• Able to operate grounds equipment and perform basic repairs.

Responsibilities

• Mowing, trimming, planting, mulching, pruning, fertilizing, seeding, and seasonal cleanup.
• Athletic field maintenance, turf repair, and field preparation.
• Snow and ice removal using plows and snow blowers.
• Operate grounds vehicles/equipment appropriate to training.
• Grounds project work including drainage, landscaping, fencing, or signage.
