Your Purpose

The Groundskeeper performs maintenance on parks and athletic fields, operating tractors and mowing equipment. Responsibilities include general upkeep, debris removal, and related tasks.

Essential Tasks
  • Perform park maintenance including mowing, edging, pruning, watering, and planting.
  • Operate grounds equipment to maintain parks and fields.
  • Prepare seed beds, lay sod, and apply fertilizers and chemicals.
  • Assist with irrigation, erosion control, and drainage installation.
  • Perform general maintenance and cleaning of facilities and equipment.
  • Ensure safety standards are followed.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • On-the-job training (~8 weeks) and experience with groundskeeping tools preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform manual labor in all weather conditions.
  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • Physical and visual abilities as described, including ability to operate equipment safely.
  • Ability to work weekends and holidays, including July 4th.
Environmental Conditions & Hazards

Work is outdoors in various weather conditions, exposed to chemicals, fertilizers, and machinery. Safety standards are enforced.
