Primary Function

Completes assigned grounds maintenance and related tasks promptly and accurately while providing guidance and training to groundskeepers.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid Georgia driver's license
• One year of experience in lawn care/landscaping; commercial landscaping preferred
• Physical activities include walking, standing, kneeling, negotiating stairs and ladders, lifting and transporting up to 75 pounds
• Skills in communication, equipment operation, leadership, and organization

The Board of Education and the Superintendent may accept alternatives to some requirements.

Essential Duties

• Maintain prompt and regular attendance
• Provide direction to Groundskeeper and complete work timely
• Report non-performance issues
• Promote positive relations with customers, public, and peers
• Accurately complete all paperwork in a timely manner
• Manage parts inventory and vehicle/tools maintenance
• Plan and execute equipment maintenance and projects
• Report safety issues immediately
• Perform additional duties as assigned
