University of the Pacific in Stockton, CA is seeking a Groundskeeper responsible for mowing, planting, trimming, and maintaining outdoor spaces to preserve the campus landscape.
Responsibilities include operating grounds equipment, watering, debris removal, and assisting with outdoor setup. The role requires a valid driver's license and union membership; work is outdoors, with varying weather and physical activity.
Responsible for physical appearance of University grounds by mowing, raking, planting, fertilizing, trimming or watering. Use mowers, rakes or other hand and power tools typically used in gardening.

Work is performed primarily outdoors with exposure to various temperatures and weather elements. Exposure to dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors and/or loud noises. Extensive physical activity. Constant bending, walking, standing, lifting up to 100 pounds, pushing or pulling up to 200 pounds. Work environment involves some exposure to hazards or physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions. Repetitive use of hands.
The work schedule is Monday to Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. or Thursday to Monday from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Union membership required.
Valid driver's license required. Incumbent must also be able to meet the University's fleet rules and be eligible to drive for University business. The University and its insurance carrier reserves the right to exclude applicants based on their driving record.
$22.50 per hour. This is a Union position.
