Job summary

FirstService Residential is seeking a Groundskeeper in Boynton Beach, FL to maintain the property's exterior areas and ensure safe, clean surroundings. The role focuses on lawn care, debris removal, and proper handling of maintenance equipment.

The position requires physical stamina, knowledge of handheld tools, and adherence to OSHA/EPA guidelines, with a full-time schedule Tuesday through Saturday and a pay rate of $19–$20 per hour.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency preferred.
• Experience with handheld landscaping tools required.
• Must comply with OSHA and EPA guidelines.
• Multiple language fluency is desirable.
• Previous landscaping experience preferred.

Location: Boynton Beach, FL 33435

Pay: $19 - $20/hr

Schedule: Tuesday to Saturday 7am - 3:30pm (Sun & Mon OFF)

Job Overview

As a Groundskeeper, you’ll be responsible for maintaining the overall appearance and cleanliness of the building/facility.

Your Responsibilities

• Cuts grass, maintains lawn, trims around trees, walkways and markers.
• Clears debris and maintains drives and walkways in safe condition.
• May be required to assist in the loading and unloading of supplies, equipment and/or merchandise.
• Maintains, services, cleans and properly stores equipment.
• Ability to properly utilize new equipment and follow safety procedures prior to using this equipment.

Skills & Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency preferred.
• Must have experience using handheld tools such as weed cutter, push lawn mower, hedge trimmer, edger, leaf vacuum, blower and others.
• Multiple language fluency is desirable.
• Previous experience preferred.
• Must comply with OSHA and EPA guidelines concerning storage and use of chemical substances.
• Strong customer service, communication and interpersonal skills required.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift 50 lbs following appropriate safety procedures
• Work in an upright standing position for long periods of time
• Climb ladders and work at heights above ground level (maximum 3ft)
• Ability to work in different environmental working conditions (e.g., heat, cold, wind, rain)
• Walk and climb stairs
• Handle, finger, grasp and feel objects and equipment
• Reach with hands and arms
• Ability to quickly and easily navigate the property/building as required to meet the job functions
• Repeat various motions with the wrists, hands and fingers
