Job Summary Details:

Shift: M-F 6:30 am - 3 pm

The Groundskeeper will maintain property grounds by mowing, cutting lawns, trimming and edging along walkways, flower beds, and walls. Responsibilities include trimming bushes and trees, planting bushes and flowers, applying lawn care chemicals as needed, and removing snow and spreading salt. On-the-job training is provided.

Basic Qualifications:

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• No high school diploma, GED, or college degree required
• No experience required; on-the-job training provided

Responsibilities:

• Maintain property grounds
• Ensure proper maintenance of mowers, blowers, and sprinkler systems
• Perform landscape maintenance duties including leaf removal, pruning shrubs and trees, fertilizing, lawn care, and watering
• Remove litter and empty trash cans
• Clean roads, parking lots, and walkways to ensure safety
• Perform basic carpentry and painting tasks
• Remove ice and snow from walks, roads, and lots, including applying ice melter and road sand
• Establish new plants and plantings in landscape and greenhouse culture
• Use manual and automatic watering systems to ensure adequate moisture
• Perform safety checks on equipment and suggest improvements
• Maintain safe work areas during and after projects
• Clean spills as needed, including body fluids
