Job Description: Groundskeeper

We are hiring immediately for full-time and part-time GROUNDSKEEPER positions at Charleston County School District, located at 7297 Peppermill Parkway, North Charleston, SC 29418. Online applications are accepted only.

Schedule: Full-time and part-time schedules; Monday through Friday, 6:00 am to 2:30 pm. More details will be provided during the interview.

Requirements: Prior experience operating small engine equipment and zero-turn mowers is required. Willing to train candidates.

Job Summary

Plans and manages grounds and plant maintenance, including growing schedules and propagation. Performs tasks related to grass and plant care, trimming, pruning, and removal of shrubs, bushes, and trees. Conducts property inspections, landscaping, and grounds maintenance, along with janitorial duties.

Essential Duties

• Provides quality customer service with attention to detail.
• Inspects common areas and grounds, reports deficiencies.
• Mows lawns weekly during appropriate seasons, cleans tools and equipment.
• Maintains landscaping by trimming bushes, weeding flowerbeds, shoveling walkways, and salting icy areas.
• Contributes to team efforts, exhibits professionalism.
• Performs additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Valid Non-CDL Class C driver's license required.
