Job summary

WellLife Network in Elmont, NY is seeking a Groundskeeper / Cleaner to perform outdoor grounds maintenance and indoor cleaning. The role focuses on seasonal groundskeeping while cleaning duties may increase during off-season months, following all agency policies and safety rules.

The candidate will operate landscaping equipment, maintain lawns, plant ornamentals, and assist with snow removal as needed. A high school diploma is preferred, with driver’s license a plus, and basic computer skills

Qualifications

• High School Diploma preferred.
• Knowledge of cleaning equipment and maintenance procedures.
• Must be able to obtain and wear an Agency uniform.
• NYS Driver’s license and access to a vehicle a plus.
• Computer literacy is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain outdoor grounds, lawns, trees, shrubs, flower beds, and landscaped areas.
• Operate landscaping equipment including ride-on mowers, walk-behind mowers, trimmers, hedge cutters, weed trimmers, and blowers.
• Mow lawns and trim edges around sidewalks, flower beds, parking lots, and building perimeters.
• Plant flowers, shrubs, grass, and other landscaping elements as needed.
• Spread mulch and replenish soil in landscaped areas.
• Prune shrubs, hedges, and small trees to maintain a clean and safe environment.
• Remove leaves using blowers, rakes, or vacuums.
• Keep grounds free of trash, litter, and debris and empty outdoor receptacles.
• Perform seasonal duties including snow removal.
• Drive a company vehicle to job sites when necessary.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
