Job summary

Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center is seeking a Groundskeeper Assistant to help maintain the grounds in an attractive and orderly condition. Trims lawns, plants trees and installs and maintains landscape sites. Operates lawn care equipment.

The role is in the Plant Operations department, with PRN hours as needed. Compensation starts at $16.54 per hour, based on experience. This seasonal position offers on-site work and opportunities for on-site training.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Valid IL Driver's License required.

Responsibilities

• Cultivates, plants, waters, fertilizes, weeds, edges and trims turf areas, flower beds, shrubs and trees.
• Operates heavy construction equipment, dump truck, riding and push mowers, tillers, sweepers, edgers and other light yard equipment.
• Performs routine maintenance and minor repairs including fueling, lubricating and cleaning machinery.
• Performs lawn renovation including landscape construction of walls, patios, sidewalks and flower beds, and masonry work to upgrade and maintain appearance and safety of the medical complex.
• Rakes, collects and disposes of leaves and refuse from the Health Center complex.
