Job summary

Drucker + Falk is seeking a Maintenance Associate to perform daily cleaning, groundskeeping, and maintenance tasks in resident communities. The role requires reporting to the Maintenance Superintendent or Property Manager and maintaining accurate time and work records.

The position involves indoor/outdoor duties, exposure to various weather conditions, and interaction with residents. It offers potential for growth and requires adherence to company standards and safety protocols.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
• 1–3 months related experience or training preferred.
• Must be able to maintain accurate records and handle basic maintenance tasks.

Responsibilities

• Maintain time periods for daily tasks: cleaning common areas and vacant apartments; grounds maintenance.
• Notify supervisor upon completion of work for inspection per standards.
• Maintain accurate records of time worked; request supplies without overstocking.
• Report defects to Maintenance Superintendent/Property Manager for repairs.
• Maintain high standards of resident relations.
• Perform duties as assigned by Management.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintain time periods for the following tasks to be performed daily - Cleaning of common areas; Cleaning of vacant apartments; Policing of grounds; Ground’s maintenance.
• Notify supervisor of completed work and readying for inspection to see that they meet Drucker + Falk standards.
• Maintain accurate records of time worked.
• Request, through the Maintenance Superintendent/Property Manager purchase of necessary supplies without overstocking.
• Call attention to any defects of deficiencies noted during the days work so that the Maintenance Superintendent /Property Manager may order necessary repairs.
• Maintain the highest standards of resident relations.
• Perform duties as requested by Maintenance Superintendent /Property Manager.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Working Conditions

Duties performed both inside and outside, even in extreme temperatures of below 32 degrees and above 100 degrees.

Education and/or Experience

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to sit; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to taste or smell. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is frequently exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals; outside weather conditions and risk of electrical shock. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; extreme cold; extreme heat and vibration.
