Job summary

HEI Hotels and Resorts is seeking a Groundskeeper for the Kartrite Resort in Monticello, NY. This on-site, part-time role supports keeping the grounds and surrounding areas safe and attractive for guests and staff.

You’ll perform routine maintenance tasks, operate sweeping equipment, and assist engineers as needed, with weekend/holiday shifts required. A high school diploma and valid driver’s license are preferred, with prior grounds work beneficial.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 6 months in a similar groundskeeping role.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Prior grounds maintenance experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and maintain grounds and buildings for debris or hazards.
• Perform safety checks on grounds equipment before use.
• Operate sweeping equipment safely and with PPE.
• Sweep walkways, maintain flower beds, and replace bulbs.
• Assist engineers as needed and handle trash.
• Be available to work weekends and holidays.
• Work outdoors and indoors in varying weather conditions.

No**Overview**The Groundskeeper will maintain the cleanliness, safety, and aesthetic appearance of the entire grounds.### **Essential Duties and Responsibilities**• Inspects and Maintain entire grounds and buildings for debris or hazards and corrects or reports them on the spot. • Perform operational and safety checks on all grounds equipment before operating. • Always utilizes proper use of personal safety equipment. • Sweeps roadside, walkways, and gutters. Ensure all flower beds are clean. • Replaces burned out or broken light bulbs and fixtures. • Performs necessary masonry repairs. • Assist the engineers as needed. • Empties public trash receptacles. Replaces trash can liners. • Must be willing to work weekends and holidays • Other duties as assignedMARGINAL FUNCTIONS: 1. Respond to any reasonable task as assigned by supervisor or manager. 2. Snow shoveling as necessary.ENVIRONMENT: Works in all areas of the property, both inside and outside possible in inclement weather.
