Job summary

IRT Living in North Myrtle Beach is seeking a Groundskeeper/Assistant Service Technician to maintain the beauty and safety of Cherry Grove Commons. In this hands-on role you’ll perform landscaping, basic maintenance, and assist the maintenance team.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift up to 45 lbs regularly and up to 80 lbs occasionally; capable of outdoor work.
• Valid driver’s license required for operating golf carts or company vehicles.
• Must attend a company-paid, multi-day training within 2 weeks of start date.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the grounds, common areas, and amenities for the community.
• Mow, edge, weed, trim, and water landscaping.
• Remove trash and debris from sidewalks and parking areas.
• Assist with seasonal maintenance such as snow/ice removal or leaf cleanup.
• Report maintenance concerns to the Service Team.
• Power wash building exteriors, walkways, and other surfaces as needed.
• Clean and maintain outdoor furniture, signage, and recreational areas.
• Support the maintenance team with light tasks as requested.
• Ensure all equipment and tools are used safely and maintained in good condition.

Your Day-to-Day

• Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of the community’s grounds, common areas, and amenities
• Perform routine landscaping tasks, including mowing, edging, weeding, trimming, and watering
• Remove trash and debris from sidewalks, parking lots, and other outdoor areas
• Assist with seasonal maintenance such as snow/ice removal or leaf cleanup
• Report any maintenance concerns, safety hazards, or property damage to the Service Team
