Job summary

Peterson Properties, Inc. in the Kansas City metro area is seeking a full-time groundskeeper to keep our communities clean, safe, and welcoming. This hands-on role focuses on outdoor duties, daily litter removal, and basic maintenance tasks to preserve property appeal.

Applicants should be able to use an iPad or smartphone, have reliable transportation, and pass background and drug screening. Pool experience is a plus but not required; compensation is based on experience.

Qualifications

• Ability to manage time effectively and multi-task in a outdoor property setting.
• Demonstrated reliability and team-oriented mindset.
• Strong safety awareness and ability to follow procedures.
• Good communication with coworkers and residents.
• Comfort with using mobile devices for work orders and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Daily removal of litter and trash from the community grounds
• Distribute notices and flyers as needed
• Report safety issues and property damage
• Assist with snow removal and application of ice melt
• Perform light checks for building exteriors, hallways, and common areas
• Assist with quarterly preventative maintenance checks
• Assist with make ready type repairs in vacant apartments
• Assist with moving large appliances on the property
• Water flowers and trees that aren’t covered by sprinklers

Do you enjoy working outdoors, staying active, and making a visible difference every day? This position could be for you! We are looking for adependable, hands-on groundskeeper who takes pride in keeping our communities clean, safe, and welcoming. This is afull-timeposition in the KC Metro area.

Groundskeeper duties include, but are not limited to:

• Daily removal of litter and trash from the community grounds

Requirements

• Experience working on pools is preferred, but not required
• Ability to use iPad or smartphone is required
• Ability to meet physical demands including constant walking, standing, climbing stairs/ladders and lifting up to 50lbs on a frequent basis.
• Time management skills, ability to multi-task, and prioritize work
• Successfully complete background and drug screening
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license is required

Compensation is based on experience.
