Job summary

Fountainsmc in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a facilities maintenance assistant to perform grounds cleaning, exterior lighting maintenance, pool area care, and related tasks. The role involves cleaning, debris removal, furniture management, and light maintenance on exterior surfaces.

The position requires hands-on work, adherence to PPE directives, and ability to operate common maintenance equipment, including a floor machine and a golf cart. Training will be provided as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be able to operate a golf cart.
• Ability to perform cleaning and maintenance tasks.

Responsibilities

• Physically walks the property and removes litter and debris from the grounds, parking lots and common areas.
• Check and replace exterior lighting as needed.
• Remove any furniture left outside.
• Clean pool area, pool filters, drains, dog park amenities where applicable.
• Attends and participates in in-service educational classes, on-the-job training programs, etc., as scheduled ordirected.
• Keeps sidewalks clean from debris, pressure washing of buildings, sidewalks, fences, signs and structures.
• Follows all directives regarding appropriate PPE.
• Touch up paint on exterior building, fence, etc.
• Details property on a regular basis. Clean and rake shrub areas; shovel mud/dirt when necessary. Use leaf blower to keep all common parking areas and sidewalks clean clear of debris.
• Complete minor and routine service requests.
• Must be able to operate a floor machine and assist with floor techs as needed.
• Ensure all trash dumpster ground areas are free from debris.
• Must be able to operate a golf cart.
