Job summary

Sodexo is seeking a Groundskeeper at Emory & Henry College (97551001) to maintain campus landscapes. This full-time role requires reliable, team-oriented individuals with horticultural training and pesticide licensing where applicable. Shifts are weekdays, with competitive pay and on-site work.

You will use hand/power tools for landscaping, sod, mowing, irrigation, and seasonal duties, while ensuring safety and quality on campus facilities. A valid driver's license may be required.

Qualifications

• Team-oriented, adaptable, reliable and safety-minded in a groundskeeping role.
• 1–2 years of related work experience required.
• Horticultural training is required.
• Pesticide and herbicide licenses are preferred/certified where applicable.
• May require certification for heavy equipment.

Responsibilities

• Landscape or maintain grounds using hand or power tools/equipment.
• Perform sod laying, mowing, trimming, edging, planting, watering, fertilizing, digging, raking, irrigation, snow/ice management, and field setup.
• Attend and be on time for scheduled shifts.
• Other duties as assigned per client needs.

Workdays/shifts : WEEKDAYS ONLY - Specific Shifts. More details will be provided during the interview process.

Employment Type: Full-time

Pay Range: $15 per hour - $20.00 per hour

What You'll Do: As a Groundskeeper at Sodexo, you are a problem-solver and safety promoter. We will rely on your expert knowledge to identify and maintain the property landscape.

Responsibilities include:

• Landscape or maintain grounds of property using hand or power tools or equipment

• Work typically consists of a variety of tasks; examples include any combination of the following: sod laying, mowing, trimming, edging, planting, watering, fertilizing, digging, raking, irrigation, sweeping of parking lots and sidewalks, snow and ice management, and sports field setup and maintenance.

• Attends work and shows for scheduled shift on time with satisfactory regularity

• Other duties may be assigned and can differ among accounts, depending on business necessities and client requirements.

What You Bring:

• Successful candidates will be team-oriented, adaptable, reliable, and nurturers of a healthy/safe working environment for all.

• 1 – 2 years of related work experience

• Horticultural training required.

• Pesticide and herbicide application license(s)

• May require certification/license for certain Heavy Equipment

• Additional Requirements: Possess a valid driver's license
