Responsibilities

• Keep property, management office and landscaping clean by inspecting daily and picking up debris or litter.
• Keep mailrooms clean; remove dated notices and sweep floors as needed.
• Replace light bulbs in common areas and breezeways.
• Replace first-floor window screens upon request.
• Assist with apartment make-readies: trash vacant units, caulk, check appliances and smoke detectors.
• Clean air conditioning vents and replace filters in vacant apartments.
• Install, move and hook up appliances.
• Replace air filters for occupied apartments as scheduled.
• Perform light painting duties and routine property inspections.
• Handle seasonal groundskeeping duties including snow removal and exterior maintenance.
• Support the Property Manager / Maintenance team as needed.

About the Position

Duties:

• Keep property, management office, and landscaping clean by inspecting property each morning and picking up any trash, debris or feces littering the grounds. This includes the perimeter of the property which can include public property in front of the community.
• Keep mailrooms clean--pick up trash, sweep floors, remove dated notices from bulletin boards, etc.
• Replace light bulbs in common areas and breezeways as needed.
• Replace all first-floor window screens upon request.
• Assist with apartment make-readies as requested--trash vacant units, caulk, check appliances and smoke detector, replace parts, etc.
• Clean air conditioning vents and replace filters in all vacant apartments.
• Install, move and hook up appliances.
• Replace air filters as scheduled for all occupied apartments.
• Perform light painting duties as directed.
• Perform routine property inspections and maintain clean, safe, and attractive interior and exterior spaces.
• Perform seasonal groundskeeping duties, including snow removal, landscaping upkeep, and outdoor maintenance as needed.
• Assist the Property Manager, Assistant Property Manager, Maintenance Supervisor or Maintenance Technician as requested.
