Job summary

KW Property Management is seeking a Groundskeeper to maintain the exterior appearance and grounds of assigned properties in Boynton Beach, FL. The role involves cleaning, painting touch-ups, and routine upkeep of outdoor areas to ensure an aesthetically pleasing environment.

The position requires 2+ years in groundskeeping or janitorial work, knowledge of cleaning products, and the ability to safely operate cleaning equipment. Strong communication and emergency responsiveness are important.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years in groundskeeping or janitorial work.

• Ability to respond to emergencies promptly; good written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Empty and clean ashtrays and transport trash to disposal areas.
• Maintain floors and common areas using cleaning and polishing tools.
• Keep storage areas, carts, and supply rooms tidy and stocked.
• Inspect common areas and perform painting as needed for aesthetics.
• Report maintenance items to the Building Maintenance Department.
• Operate and maintain cleaning equipment safely and properly.
• Work outdoors; follow safety procedures in all tasks.
• Assist with minor repairs and chemical handling as required.

Job description

Groundskeeper is required to maintain the clean and neat appearance of assigned areas, focusing on the exterior of the property and its grounds.

Duties and Essential Functions

• Empty and clean ashtrays, and transport other trash and waste to disposal areas.
• Sweep, scrub, wax, and/or polish floors and individual building common areas, using brooms, mops, and/or power scrubbing, power washing and waxing machines.
• Keep storage areas and carts well-stocked, clean, and tidy.
• Complete all required forms and work orders.
• Routinely inspect common areas to ensure they are maintained clean and in an aesthetically appealing condition by painting when necessary.
• Maintain assigned equipment in good working condition.
• Remove debris from driveways, garages, and swimming pool areas.
• Wash outdoor walls, ceilings, and woodwork, waxing and polishing as necessary.
• Report any and all maintenance items which include, but is not limited to, burned out lights, leaks, broken equipment to the Building Maintenance Department.
• Observe precautions required to protect Residents, guests and property, and report damages, theft, and found articles to supervisors.
• Properly utilize new equipment and follow safety procedures prior to using this equipment.

Position requires exposure to the outdoor climate and weather conditions. Moderate noise level.

Physical Demands

• Ability to work with and around chemical cleaning solutions
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time, walk and climb stairs, climb ladders, crawl in small and tight spaces; stoop and/or kneel; lift and/or move and/or carry up to 20 pounds or more in the work environment.
• Ability to handle, finger, grasp and feel objects and equipment.
• Ability to reach with hands and arms.
• Ability to quickly and easily navigate the property/building as required, meeting the job functions.
• Ability to repeat various motions with the wrists, hands and fingers.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

Days and hours of work will be determine at the work location. This schedule may change to accommodate the business needs of the company

Required Education and Experience

• Minimum two (2) years working in groundskeeping or janitorial.
• Knowledge of cleaning and sanitation products.
• Must have the ability to react and address all emergency situations in a timely manner.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Position Supervision

Employee reports directly to the supervisor of the department.
