Job summary

Emerge Living in Austin seeks a Groundskeeper to maintain the community landscape and exterior image across its apartment communities. This on-site role collaborates with the Service Manager and office staff to deliver world-class service to residents.

You will perform grounds work, assist in make-ready units, report supplies, and help keep driveways, parking lots, and common areas clean and safe while working outdoors in all weather. Experience with basic maintenance tools is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; must be able to communicate in English or Spanish.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Willing to work evenings or weekends; on-call availability.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds and operate maintenance tools.

Responsibilities

• Maintain overall landscape and exterior image of the community.
• Provide world-class customer service addressing resident needs.
• Complete grounds work as directed by Service Manager/Community Manager (trash, power washing, etc.).
• Assist in make-ready units and remove trash from vacant apartments.
• Document maintenance activities and report supply needs to Manager.
• Collaborate with maintenance team and contractors to ensure seamless operations.
• Ensure safety and cleanliness standards across the property.

The Groundskeeper is a member of the Maintenance staff working directly with the Service Manager and the office staff to provide world-class service to our residents.
