This position involves maintaining facility grounds and buildings, assisting maintenance mechanics, and ensuring a safe and clean environment.

Responsibilities

1. Maintain facility grounds and exterior by mowing, raking, edging lawns, weeding, cutting brush, and trimming shrubbery.
2. Sweep sidewalks and remove snow.
3. Pick up paper and debris, empty trash and smoking material from outside receptacles.
4. Maintain building interior by cleaning boiler rooms, mechanical rooms, electrical rooms, and elevator equipment rooms.
5. Assist maintenance mechanics as needed.
6. Perform preventive maintenance on equipment as assigned.
7. Relocate offices by moving equipment and boxes.
8. Operate, maintain, and service power and grounds equipment such as snow blowers, garden tractors, mowers, edgers, and weed trimmers.
9. Ensure a safe working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
10. Maintain communication with supervisors regarding concerns and needs.
11. Contribute to team efforts by covering for absent colleagues and assisting in other areas as needed.
