  • Assist with campus moves and event set-ups/break downs; serve on adverse weather team.

Description of Work

This position is responsible for the complete maintenance of over 100 acres of Murdoch Center's grounds.

Grounds employees provide extra manpower for other assignments as required.

This Position Is Designated As Mandatory And Must Report Or Stay Over During Adverse Weather Events.

Qualifications

Applicants must have a valid NC driver's license and must have a minimum of one year of experience working in the performance of landscape duties.

Proven ability to maintain professional work relationships and boundaries.

Ability to work with and maintain a therapeutic attitude towards developmentally disabled clients is required as well as demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and respectfully with the population served, staff and others both orally and in writing.

  • Ability to exert up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects

Murdoch Developmental Center is a 24/7 state residential facility located in Butner, NC, near the Research Triangle area. Murdoch serves individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities (I/DD). Murdoch is a caring community where professionals work with people of various ages, cognitive and functional abilities.

Salary Range

Recruitment Range: $31,200.00 - $48,810.00
