Description

Position Summary:

To work at making Unity’s 9-hole golf course the best that it can be.

Essential Job Functions:

1. Operate mowing equipment and do daily adjustments and maintenance which includes push and tractor mowers, greens, tees, fringe.
2. Operate power hand tools.
3. Operate tractors, mowers and hand tools.
4. Make daily decisions without direct supervision to maintain and upgrade Unity’s golf course.
5. Perform routine golf course tasks including cutting and changing pin placements, rake sand traps.
6. Perform routine daily tasks including mowing, weed eating, planting and applying fertilizers or chemicals.
7. Perform winter maintenance on mowing units – grind and sharpen reels, disassemble, analyze, replace needed parts, assemble and adjust mowing units.
8. Repair irrigation heads, valves and piping.
9. Regular and reliable attendance at the worksite and adhere to assigned schedule. – this position is not a remote or telecommute position.
10. Adhere to all company and departmental policies and procedures per the guidebook including all safety requirements including all safety guidelines.
11. Utilize electronic time management system to input time, attendance and paid off request.

Non-Essential Job Functions:

1. Conduct golf car maintenance or repairs, as needed.
2. Work on call for after-hours duties (weekends and holidays) as required.

Qualifications

Education: High School diploma or GED preferred.

Experience:

1. 18 years of age.
2. 2 years’ experience in golf course maintenance.
3. 6 months of golf course equipment usage.
4. Good Customer service skills to assist campus patrons with directions or other requests.

• Missouri pesticide applicators license
