Job summary

Woodfield Boca Raton is seeking a Grounds Worker/Landscaper to maintain golf course grounds in playing condition under supervision. The role requires a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities include operating turf equipment, irrigating with hoses, planting and trimming trees and shrubs, cleaning machinery, and performing preventive maintenance as directed. This full-time position offers benefits such as medical and dental insurance, paid time off, and a 401(k) plan

Qualifications

• Must have good written and verbal communication skills.
• Must have valid and current Florida driver's license.
• Must have experience with driving mowers, tractors, and push mowers.

Responsibilities

• Connects hose and sprinkler systems at designated points on course to irrigate turf.
• Digs and rakes ground to prepare new greens, grades and cleans traps, and repairs rosebeds.
• Plants, trims, and sprays trees and shrubs.
• Operates turf equipment and cleans machinery after use.
• Inspects machinery and reports equipment problems to supervisor.
• Loads and unloads materials.
• Trims trees and removes cuttings.
• Collects and empties litter cans.
• Cleans gutters, drains, and culverts.

Woodfield Boca Raton is seeking a skilled Grounds Worker/Landscaper. Responsibilities include maintaining grounds and turf of golf course in playing condition as directed by supervisors. Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Include The Following

• Must comply with all department policies and Standard Operating Procedures.
• Connects hose and sprinkler systems at designated points on course to irrigate turf.
• Digs and rakes ground to prepare new greens, grades and cleans traps, and repairs rosebeds.
• Plants, trims, and sprays trees and shrubs.
• Safety operates equipment and mowers and pluggers used for various course maintenance needs.
• Cleans machinery after each use.
• Inspects machinery/reports equipment problems to supervisor.
• Makes necessary minor adjustments to equipment.
• Loads and unloads materials.
• Trims trees and removes cuttings.
• Collects and empties litter cans.
• Cleans gutters, drains, and culverts.
• Cuts grass, weeds, and bushes.
• Operates turf vac, skip loader, fairway and rough aerifier.
• May operate smaller equipment as directed by his/her supervisor.
• Ensures that the equipment cooling system is working at all times; refills fuel and oil daily; cleans equipment daily, and reports equipment problems or failures to Equipment Manager immediately.
• Provides basic preventive maintenance on equipment as directed by the equipment manager or supervisor and returns equipment to the designated location at the maintenance facility.
• Performs other duties as directed by his/her supervisor.
